Now Accepting Scholarship Applications!

Application deadline is March 15, 2024

The Gary Burks Memorial Blue Collar Scholarships are open to high school students graduating this Spring and adult students seeking higher education in the Trades! Awards range from $500 – $5,000.

Blue-Collar scholars are our next-generation workforce, students from working-class families and oftentimes first-generation college students entering into trades or higher education. GB was proud to be a blue-collar worker, and he worked hard to get educated and grow into an industry leader with Anheuser-Busch. The Gary Burks Memorial Scholarship is proud to invest in local students seeking training, certificates, and higher education in careers as blue-collar workers.

This legacy memorial scholarship fund was established in honor of our late Rotary Club of Redding, Past President Gary Burks. “GB” was long recognized for his service, leadership, and involvement throughout the North State. Gary was a true Rotarian! Scholarships are awarded to local northern California students at the Rotary Club of Redding’s Annual Scholarship Banquet, hosted in the Spring for students registered for Summer or Fall attendance.
